A Good Day to Die Hard is an upcoming American action film directed by John Moore and written by Skip Woods. It will be the fifth installment of the Die Hard film series, and the second to be from an original screenplay (first being Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995)). Bruce Willis reprises the lead role of John McClane, who travels to Russia to help his estranged son, Jack (Jai Courtney), out of prison, but is soon caught in the crossfire of a terrorist plot.
The film's worldwide release date is February 14, 2013 in theatres and IMAX theatres, but it will be released a week early on February 7, 2013 in Hong Kong, South Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan on Chinese New Year.
